Incredible $30 Map-Making Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

Following a short availability back in April, this cartography software collection is back with an encore that lasts until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by a specialized software company over the years, the entire collection is valued at over $1,300. And there are three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars offers enhanced value by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Full Package

For a minimum of $30, the comprehensive package contains these components:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Creation Tool
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Symbol Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans
  • Contemporary Design Pack
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Schley Urban Pack
  • Monster Token Collection 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Creation Guide
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Campaign Cartographer 3+ (Lifetime License)
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Fantasy Landscape Symbols
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Source Maps: Castles!
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation though the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. The Bundle Filters option is toward the top of the page, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu immediately below, allowing you to adjust how much of your donation allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
